The Design Museum - Moving to Mars
Motion - VFX - Campaign - Digital Content
The challenge:
While in Empire Design, we worked with The Design Museum on a project advertising the “Moving to Mars” exhibition. It was showcasing the future possibility of everyday life on Mars and had many informative and immersive aspects to the exhibition.
The solution:
After the graphic design artwork team and the art directors came with the poster ideas for print, we animated the chosen key artwork repurposed for Youtube Ads. The motion team were also tasked with creating an immersive experience for IG stories and a short IG post content for social media engagement. Working with the in-house audio team, we added sound elements to further immerse the viewer.
Studio: Empire Design
Artwork: In-house Graphic Design Team
Role: Motion Designer

Instagram Experience:
For the immersive content, we focused on taking the viewer on a journey from Earth to Mars, an experience to get the audience excited for the exhibition. Giving a visual to the viewer of a far future space travel. This would go on IG story / reels / IGTV as its a long-form content.
Instagram Post:
For the instagram post, we wanted to create a normal holiday IG post like when you’re in the airport. So working with an in-house graphic designer to create an artwork, we added some footage and motion element to the artwork for a fun little conveyor belt scene.
