GGI - Branding and Socials

3D - Motion - Branding - Social Media Content - Poster Design

GGI is London based club night event for queer, trans and non-binary ESEA (East and South East Asian) community.

The challenge:
In order to launch their April event, they needed a logo and visual brand update that would fit their brand image of old school asian influence with modern aesthetic. The rebranding included social media posts, logo design animation, other graphic assets and event posters.

The solution:
Taking their brand image of old school asian influence and modern aesthetic, as well as their young asian creative target audience into consideration, we went with the fresh spring concept to match the relatively new and upcoming night event. Taking inspiration from asian cinemas, the vision was to to create a refreshing breather and safe space for the queer and trans asians to dance under the spring moonlight. The old school spring nostalgia with the light falling petals and the transparent shimmering that would illuminate.

Working with an high profile illustrator in the LGBTQ+ community, he supplied us with the artwork which I animated for the poster. Adding elements to the flyer, digital animated motion poster and the social media contents. Keeping it consistent, I added this new branding aesthetic into the artist cards to showcase the DJ’s. The whole project and the visuals were well received by the event organisers and the audience, making it a success.
